I didn't start Waystead because I wanted to start another AI company.

I've spent much of my career working with technology - cloud platforms, infrastructure and increasingly AI systems.

The more capable technology became, the more interested I became in a different question:

What becomes possible now that wasn't possible before?

That question led to experiments.

They looked like separate ideas.

But eventually I realised that they shared something deeper. Each began with the same curiosity:

Can new technology create an experience that genuinely wasn't practical before?

That curiosity became Waystead.

Waystead isn't limited to one category. It's a place to build. To experiment. To explore what becomes possible as AI, multimodal systems, agents, spatial intelligence and other technologies evolve.

Some experiments will remain experiments. Some will become products. The ones that matter will be the ones that make technology disappear into the experience.

AI itself is not the product. What becomes possible because of AI is the product.

We're still at the beginning.
